The Apple of Discord is taking a break while I come up with new and
interesting stuff. In the meantime, I STRONGLY recommend you check out my
Fantasy Parody Epic, Apple Valley and my brand new 5-day a week humorous
expose of the dark underbelly of the Webcomic world, Webcomic Hell.

Guest Comic

Today’s comic comes to us courtesy of Kayla Higley of the once and (hopefully) future webcomic Off The Deep End.  Kayla’s been a little too busy to comic regularly of late, in part due to her involvement with NMACon, but not too busy to let me steal the only update she’s made in over a year and use it as a guest comic.

Also, this would be the second best episode of Cheaters ever.  It was bested only by the one on recently where the girl found out that her geek man she met through World of Warcraft (they were both Horde, isn’t that sweet?) was not only having sex with another lady, but they were also caught… and I don’t quite know how to say this… but they were also LARPing.  The horror, the horror.

  • The comic isn’t showing… There appears to be a formatting error. Instead of the comic, it’s showing “Warning: reset() [function.reset]: Passed variable is not an array or object in /var/www/ on line 433″

  • Sorry, WordPress ate the comic I tried to upload… it should hopefully be showing now.

  • Well you know, he knocked up that married chick and it all went downhill from there…

  • Re: the “Cheaters” ep. you mentioned (and FYI, that show should NEVER be watched outside the confines of “The Soup, for your own sanity) I’m surprised that sort of thing would matter to a gamer type…I thought they were all polyamory.

  • The big difference between polyamory and plain ol’ cheating is whether or not the other people you’re with KNOW you’re also with other people. If you’ve got to call Cheaters to find out if your significant other is cheating, then they’re cheating.

And aren’t that many geek ladies to go around. The percentages are better now than they were 10 years ago, but there’s still an overwhelming ratio of men-to-women in traditional nerd-and-geek populated circles. I guess what I’m saying is seriously, gamer guy from the video – there’s a shortage, and you don’t need 2.
