I was actually curious how he was going to translate it when he said The Apple of Discord, too… since the Apple has it’s own unique name in German . The literal translation would be Die Apfel der Zwietracht, but since it’s a legendary object with a proper name stemming from the story, in German the actual apple is called Der Zankapfel.

But it’s not a apple, it’s THE apple. Mayhaps the Apple of Discord!?! Hopefully not the Apple of Disco. That saves on letters, but just totally sucks.
