I was a huge fan of Billy during the original Power Rangers run. While the other Rangers went on and had lives, he hung back, even after he lost his powers, and continued to “fight the good fight”. Then, when his contract was up, he moved to an alien planet and married a fish woman, if I remember correctly, to stop himself from rapidly aging into another actor. At least he wasn't shipped off to a “Peace Conference” never to be seen or heard from again.
In defense of David Yost… he's still out there, still working, still trying to make it big and be remembered as something other than “Billy”. He's taken multiple roles since his time on MMPR, both in front of and behind the camera, and while none of them have given him quite the push that I think he's been hoping for, despite this comic I seriously do wish him all the success in the world.
May not be stop-motion dinosaurs, but he's got the power of recycled Japanese footage.
